Meet Our Readers – CJ McLean

With our next event, ‘Hunger’, fast approaching, we’d like to introduce you to the first in our amazing line up of readers: CJ McLean.

CJ McLean is an Adelaide-based writer and playwright. His work has appeared in InDailyBuzzcuts and Rip It Up. He’s twice received commendations for the State Theatre Company’s Young Playwright’s award, in 2010 and 2013, and in 2015 he was nominated in the Express Media Awards for Best Piece Published in Buzzcuts. In 2016, a 7-minute monologue he wrote appeared in ATYP’s Voices Project, All Good Things, and was later published by Currency Press in an anthology of the same name.

CJ is very excited to be a part of The Hearth’s second night of readings, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have him on board!
