Meet Our Readers – Andrew Lee

Andrew Lee has graced The Hearth stage before and we are delighted to welcome him back to perform his spoken word poetry for ‘Of the Night’!

Andrew is about to finish a degree in Environment at Flinders Uni (congrats!). He performed at the ‘Creative Intersections’ Postgraduate Conference and The Hearth’s ‘Earthly Delights’ Fringe show earlier this year. Andy is often found performing poetry at local gigs such as Draw Your Swords, Format Open Mics and Slam Poetry.

For ‘Of the Night,’ Andy will be reading a selection of strange and beautiful poems. He says:

“I love the night. So much happens in darkness that seems impossible during the day. These poems reflect this love. They were all written after dusk and are united by the atmosphere of night. Identity is another common theme as I seek to explore who we become at night…”
